Best 7 Projects for EEE Students

Engineers are searching for projects all the time, and the way to find good projects makes the search worthwhile. Listed below are some EEE student projects ideas for such engineers. Tons of them may deal during a higher power than electronics engineers are seek for, hence safety first. These hand-picked EEE student projects are simple also as interesting.

EEE Student Projects

We have compiled some of the best EEE student projects that an electrical and electronic engineering student can take to learn good concepts and earn best grades. So, some projects titles with descriptions are below: there are also links to complete project articles from experienced engineers so that you can learn better.

Dual Axis Solar Tracker System

This system requires involvement of a good range of engineering including mechanical electrical and electronics. The mechanical part would involve designing a smooth gear system to maneuver as per requirement. The electrical part would be the working of solar array and battery requirement. The electronics would involve designing the sensor system that might generate commands for the gear system to act accordingly. The system employs spur wheel for the implementation of the twin axis solar tracker. The system can be implemented using Atmel IC AT89C51 or other microcontrollers.

3 Phase Smart Energy Meter using Arduino

3 Phase Smart Energy Meter using Arduino. The meter will enable us to measure Energy Units consumed by 3 phase loads. Also, the same meter can connect or disconnect the 3 phase load remotely. The communication medium between Energy Meter and User may vary with respect to the application. It could be Wi-fi based smart energy meter or GSM based smart energy meter.
For a good project you can choose other topics of AC/DC current and voltage measurements and power factor measurement which are individual modules of energy meters. Click here and work on best measurement project.

Appliances Control using GSM through Atmel Microcontrollers

This project is also one of the emerging projects and will put you on the path of internet of things. If you want to make a professional product which is more than a proto-type project then you have to take care of some other things as well. In this project you will learn how to make a GSM based professional product which you can implement on your room as well.

Digital Pressure Gauge using Arduino

Basic concept of Pressure measurement is the measurement of applied force by a fluid on a surface.  This project is to make digital pressure gauge that will measure up to 150 Psi. Pressure sensor is used as Transducer. Arduino UNO is used for programming and converting output from transducer into a pressure scale. Then LCD is used for displaying Pressure in bars as well as in Psi. Pressure Gauge can be used for measuring air pressure in tyres and pressurized lubricants, fuels and brake fluids in cars, as well as pressurized units within industrial facilities.

Micro Inverter

An inverter which converts 12V Dc into 230V AC and that’s a low-power inverter. It is often used to power very light loads like night lamps and cordless telephones which you can find at https://productspy.co.uk/, but is often modified into a strong inverter by adding more MOSFETs.

PIN Diode Based Fire Sensor

It is a special ultra-sensitive fire sensor which powers an alarm when it detects fire. During this circuit, a sensitive PIN diode is employed as a fireplace sensor for longer-range fire detection. It detects light and infrared (IR) within the range of 430 nm – 1100 nm. Light and IR from the hearth activate the sensor to trigger the alarm. It also detects sparks within the mains wiring and if these persist, it gives a warning alarm. The anode can easily be identified from the top-view flat surface of the photodiode. A little solder point to which a skinny wire is connected is that the anode and therefore the other one is that the cathode terminal.

Automatic Charger for a 7Ah Battery using Microcontroller

7Ah Sealed lead acid battery is a very popular battery which people use in most places like fans, LEDs etc. The reason behind popularity of 7Ah battery is due to its medium size and medium Ah rating. By medium means, its size and ratings lies between the small batteries and large batteries. For medium purposes, the size and rating of battery is ideal. By this project, you can learn working with microcontrollers, their interrupts and MOSFET switches.
